Netflix to start charging some users for sharing their password

Netflix announced Wednesday that it intends to share passwords with viewers, and customers are not good at receiving it.

In a news release on its website on Wednesday, the streaming giant announced that it would begin testing ways to force users who share their accounts outside the home to pay more for members.

Under the proposed changes, users can transfer their profiles to their accounts for free, save customizations like My List, view history, and offer recommendations on Netflix.

In March 2021, it launched a two-step verification test in which, once logged in, users must enter a code that will be sent to the account holder by phone or email.

Reuters reported that Netflix had previously raised US prices in October 2020 as well as in January, raising the price of standard designs from $ 13.99 to $ 15.49.
